Emmerdale’s Lyndon Ogbourne has teased fans with the promise of a “really dark future” for his character.
The actor, who is leaving his role as nasty Nathan Wylde, said soap bosses are even planning to warn viewers ahead of certain episodes because the contents are so “corrupt and evil”.
Speaking on This Morning, the actor said: “There’s a lot more twists and turns to go. There’s a really dark future ahead for Nathan, even darker than you’ve seen.”
He went on: “The stuff we’ve filmed is possibly some of the most evil and corrupt stuff I’ve witnessed in the soap at all.
“I think they are planning on putting warnings before the episode. There’s some really dark stuff that’s been filmed with one of the main actors. It’s really corrupt and quite evil.”
In the soap, Nathan has framed half-brother Ryan Lamb (James Sutton) for the murder of their dad Mark, who was actually killed by Nathan’s mum Natasha (Amanda Donohoe).
Lyndon, who is looking forward to spending more time in London, said he hoped it would not be the last viewers see of his character.
He said: “They’ve very kindly said they’ll leave the door open so who knows. To be honest I don’t want it to be the end of Nathan. I hope he does come back at some point because I’ve just had an absolute blast playing him and there’s lots more to come.”
